Team sharing in SprintBrain is not a premium feature you unlock later. It is built into the product from the start, costs nothing, and has no per-seat pricing. Share as many folders with as many teammates as you need, and every piece of shared content lands in their dashboard and Chrome extension the moment you grant access.

The folder permission model

In SprintBrain, the folder is the unit of sharing. You do not share individual snippets, prompts, or formulas one by one. Instead, you share the folder that contains them, and every snippet, prompt, and formula inside that folder automatically inherits the access level you grant. This means your permission structure stays simple: one decision per folder, not one decision per asset. Move a snippet into a shared folder and it becomes shared. Move it out and it is private again.
Sharing a folder only shares its contents — it does not give teammates access to your other folders or your account settings.

Permission levels

SprintBrain has three access levels. Assign the right one when you share a folder with a teammate.
  • View — teammates can expand any snippet or prompt in the folder in the extension, but they cannot change the content.
  • Edit — teammates can expand and modify snippets, prompts, and formulas. Use this for team members who contribute to and maintain your shared library.
  • Owner — teammates have full control, including the ability to share the folder with other people. Use this for team leads or admins who manage the shared library.

Sharing a folder

Open your folder

Go to your dashboard and navigate to the folder you want to share. You can share any folder you created or any folder where you already hold Owner access.

Click the Share button

Click the Share button on the folder card or inside the folder view. The folder sharing modal opens.

Enter your teammate's email

Type the email address of the person you want to invite. You can add multiple people one at a time.

Choose an access level

Select View, Edit, or Owner from the permission dropdown. See the table above if you are unsure which level to assign.

Confirm

Click Share. The folder appears in your teammate’s dashboard and Chrome extension immediately — no delay, no export, no re-onboarding required.

Access enforcement

SprintBrain enforces permissions server-side, not just by hiding buttons in the interface. Access is enforced server-side — a View-only member cannot edit even if they try directly. This means:
  • A View-only member who tries to save an edit to a snippet will have that write rejected by the server, even if they bypass the UI.
  • The Chrome extension surfaces only the snippets and prompts the signed-in user is permitted to see — nothing more.
  • Access is checked against the signed-in user’s verified identity, so sharing a link to a shared folder does not grant access to anyone who was not explicitly invited.
There is no way to escalate access from the client side.

Inviting teammates

Before a teammate can receive a shared folder, they need a SprintBrain account. Use the invite flow to bring them in:
  1. Go to your Team page and use the Invite panel (visible to admins and managers).
  2. Enter the teammate’s email address and choose their role: Member, Manager, or Admin.
  3. SprintBrain sends them an invitation link by email.
  4. They open the link, sign in or create a free account, and click Accept and join.
  5. The moment they accept, every folder you have shared with them appears in their dashboard and their Chrome extension.
If a teammate opens the invitation link on a different device or email client, the invite page checks their verified sign-in email rather than any token in the URL — so a stale or forwarded link never grants access to the wrong person.
There is no per-seat pricing in SprintBrain. You can invite as many teammates as your team needs and share as many folders as you like — all at no cost. No credit card is required to sign up.

Authorship

Every snippet, prompt, and formula in SprintBrain records who created it and who last modified it, along with a precise timestamp. This attribution is stamped by the server, not the client, so it cannot be spoofed or altered from the browser. You always have a reliable audit trail showing which teammate created a piece of content and when it was last changed.
